Why now? The EU AI Act deadline is real.
From 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act expects visible disclosure when photorealistic AI-generated images could be mistaken for real photos. Non-compliance can carry fines of up to €15M or 3% of global turnover — and in Germany, additional competitor cease-and-desist risk under the UWG.
